M.I.A......REALLY???? REALLY??? not sick.

M.I.A.'s legal people forced me to take down my posting of Rye Rye's new single. For such a seemingly progressive artist collective, you would think that posting a new single from her artist Rye Rye, who NO ONE knows, would be a positive move. Free press right? WRONG. I respect a leak being forced to be taken down, but when the artist puts that record up on their myspace it is no longer a "leak". Give the people, the DJs, the bloggers, and the press the freedom to enjoy and promote a single anyway they can. The whole point of a single is for promotion anyway.

As a producer as well as someone who works in the industry doing marketing and PR, when even the smallest blog writes and posts links to music I am promoting it is a positive move. Especially for an unknown artist such as Rye Rye, who 99% of the music purchasing community does not KNOW. Okay enough. I guess when you marry the son of the CEO of Warner Music you have to step in line to sound of the RIAA tune.

Tabbi Bonney just dropped his new single, "Rich Kids" and the video is extremely fresh. This reminds me of the house party scene in King of New York crossed with a little bit of "sensual seduction". OJ Da Juice Man is extremely SICK

Not since Master P's "UUUUUNNGHHHH" has a rapper from the south come with come with such a hot adlib as OJ's "AIY!!" (instert high-pitched voice) After listening to so many tracks from these Freshmen 10 kids trying to quote-on-quote "elevate" the music and then deciding to retire (Kid Cudi), stop putting out mixtapes (Curren$y), stop making rap music "B.O.B.", drop a brick (Ace Hood) or just put me to sleep (Mickey Factz), I almost overlooked the hottest new artist to not get any hipster love... AKA OJ Da Juice Man. Well he actually isn't new, and has been dropping mixtapes continually for the past few years. Anyway, enough with the hoopla, get on that new ish. Washing Powder Monaaay AY! AY! AY!

There is something about CH that I cant directly point out, but its something that makes me dislike just about everything he does. BUT... this video and this song is EXCELLENT. The sample, the lyrics, just about everything reminds me of classic records that I used to love. CH is still too cocky for me to fully co-sign with a WS... but this is his best work yet. Judge for yourself and tell me what you think.

When Whoasick was first getting started, 33hz was one of the bands that inspired me to start digitally supporting music I thought was fresh.
